Canadian Drug – How to Avoid Buying Counterfeit Drugs

You may have heard about how more and more people are purchasing their prescription medication these days from an online Canadian pharmacy.  One of the biggest reasons for people to do this is the amount of money they can save, especially if they live in the United States and import their drugs from Canadian pharmacies.  However, when you go to read more about this, one of the first things you might see is a warning telling you to be wary Canadian drug sellers because they may not be who they claim to be.  That’s right, con artists will sometimes set up what appears at first glance to be a legitimate pharmacy, but they in fact do not sell a single legit Canadian drug on their site.

So how are you supposed to avoid the dangers of buying counterfeit drugs from someone posing as a legitimate Canadian drug seller?  One of the very first things you should look for before buying a Canadian drug from any online pharmacy site is a CIPA certification.  CIPA stands for the Canadian International Pharmacy Association and they are an organization that keeps a record of all legitimate pharmacies that plan to do business with people outside of Canada.  You should look for the CIPA certification to be displayed somewhere on the online pharmacy website, as they will want this to be front and center.  If you don’t see this certification anywhere on the site you are thinking about buying from, you should reconsider.

Another way in which you can easily tell if you are about to purchase a counterfeit Canadian drug from a phone online pharmacy is whether or not they ask you for a prescription.  A legitimate online Canadian pharmacy will always ask you for proof that you have an actual prescription for you medication before they ship the Canadian drug out to you.
