Dristan Nasal Mist

A head cold or allergies such as hay fever can produce a stuffy or runny nose and sinus congestion. Dristan Nasal mist, an over-the-counter medication treats hay fever and allergy symptoms.

The active ingredients in Dristan Nasal Mist are Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (HCL), a decongestant, and Pheniramine Maleate, an antihistamine. The decongestant shrinks the blood vessels in your nose and nasal passages, relieving sinus pressure and nasal congestion. The antihistamine blocks the histamine H1 receptor sites in your body so that a substance called histamine cannot activate these receptors. When histamine triggers these receptors, it causes allergy symptoms.

Unless otherwise instructed by a doctor, Dristan Nasal Mist should not be used by children under six years of age.

Active Ingredients: Phenylephrine HCl 0.5%, Pheniramine maleate 0.2%

In-active Ingredients: Alcohol, benzalkonium chloride, cellulose, eucalyptol, menthol, purified water, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate and thimerosal.
