Anaprox DS Description

Anaprox DS (double strength) or generic Naproxen Sodium is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is usually prescribed for treating sprains, strains, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The generic alternative is not manufactured by the company that makes the brand product.

How Anaprox DS Works

Anaprox DS or generic Naproxen Sodium blocks certain enzymes called cyclo-oxygenase (COX) that produces prostaglandins, an inflammation-causing chemical that is involved in the immune response when there is a danger or threat present. As chemicals are released and blood flow increases, the inflammation localizes and tries to eliminate the threat while removing any damaged tissue so you can heal.
