R and C Surface Spray

R & C Surface Spray is generally used as a companion treatment for surface areas while head lice and their nits are treated with shampoo formulas for the family members. Some surfaces are unable to be washed or dry cleaned so R & C Surface Spray can be applied as directed to mattresses and bedding. The 2 active ingredients are Piperonyl Butoxide/Pyrethrins.

Pyrethrin is considered a neurotoxin as it is absorbed through the protective outer casing of arthropods where it affects their nervous system and causes paralysis and eventual death. Piperonyl Butoxide or PBO is merely added to help reinforce the effects of Pyrethrin and stops the arthropods ability to produce enzymes that block insecticides.

Lice are tiny, wingless, parasitic insects that can be a common problem for children especially. They live in your hair and feed on very small amounts of blood from your scalp. They are not dangerous and they do not spread disease, but they can be frustrating to deal with and hard to get rid of. All family members should be treated with a shampoo made for killing the lice and their eggs as well as treating bedding, flooring, and mattresses with R & C Surface Spray.

Read and follow the instructions carefully! Food handling surfaces, cooking utensils, pantry items should all be covered securely or removed. Fish tanks, pet food and water dishes should also be protected. Make certain to ventilate rooms where bedding and mattresses have been treated with R & C Surface Spray. Any family member with breathing conditions should vacate the household until the air has cleared.
