VECTRA 3D (DINOTEFURAN/PYRIPROXYFEN/PERMETHRIN)

Vectra 3D Description

As a responsible dog owner, you should talk to your veterinarian about Vectra 3D, a fast-acting topical treatment and each tube protects your canine friend for 1 month. These parasites do not even have to bite to be affected by Vectra 3D, but kills through contact and prevents the development of flea eggs, their larvae, and the pupae.

Take Care of Pests Even Before They Have a Chance to Bite

The contoured applicator is no-drip and no-splash with a rounded end so it can be applied comfortably to your dog’s skin. It dries quickly and is non-greasy. When applied as directed, Dinotefuran, Pyriproxyfen, and Permethrin are absorbed into the skin cells of your dog. As a flea lands on your pet and makes its’ way to the skin to take a blood meal, it is affected right away from the direct contact with the pet’s skin as the flea absorbs Vectra 3D and dies before it can even bite.

Conditions Treated by Vectra 3D

The three active ingredients combined in Vectra 3D (Dinotefuran/Pyriproxyfen/Permethrin) have most of the bases covered for fleas, ticks, mites, lice, and flies, but you will still need to clean their bedding, sleeping areas, entry ways, favorite outdoor rest areas and more. It’s a lot of work if parasites get a foot hold first, so be pro-active and have your pet treated regularly and check through their coat often for any sign of fleas, ticks, lice, or mites.

If your household is also home to a cat, do not use Vectra 3D for dogs on them as the tubes contain pre-measured amounts of anti-parasitics that includes Permethrin which is dangerous for the feline. Ask your veterinarian about the best product for protecting your cat from parasites.

Before Applying Vectra 3D

Tell your vet if your canine is pregnant or nursing a litter before applying Vectra 3D to be certain it will be safe to treat. Puppies can also be protected by Vectra 3D at the age of 8 weeks and older. Discuss any medical conditions your dog has that may become worse with the use of Vectra 3D. List other Rx and OTC drugs you administer to your dog to be certain it will be safe to apply Vectra 3D without causing any negative interactions.

Vectra 3D Precautions and Proper Use

This is a topical product only, do not put Vectra 3D in food or snack to feed to your dog. Keep out of children’s reach and do not allow children to play with your canine until Vectra 3D has been completely absorbed.

Apply Vectra 3D by parting the hair between back of skull and shoulder blades so pet cannot reach to lick the contents of the tube. Remove any cloth or fiber collars as Vectra 3D can ‘wick’ onto the collar before it is absorbed through the skin.

Wash hands thoroughly after applying to your pet and do not rub it in, it will be absorbed through the pet’s skin cells. Check pet’s skin for any sign of sensitivity to the contents of Vectra 3D and bathe with mild soap if you notice any redness, swelling, or increased itchiness. Do not allow your cat to groom the dog if recently treated as Permethrin is dangerous for felines.

Possible Side Effects of Vectra 3D
