"Floridians Aren't Naïve About High Drug Prices"
According to Tracy Cooley, Executive Director of the Campaign for Personal Prescription Importation (CPPI), the above "[h]eadline is in reaction to all the misleading messages from opponents of importation who claim that Americans are naïve and don't do their homework when ordering their medications. In reality, these opponents are usually the same people who are benefitting from skyrocketing high drug prices and have a vested interest in making sure prices stay high." The headline is also the title of Ms. Cooley's recent op-ed that is published in the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel.
Speaking of "misleading messages from opponents of [drug] importation", at least one of their "mostly false" TV ads failed NBC News' "truth test" as discussed in a past newsletter of ours.
The CPPI is a national non-profit patient advocacy organization that advocates for Americans' access to safe, affordable prescription medications through drug importation. Click here to join the movement and receive regular updates on matters related to prescription drug importation.
