More Than Just Blueberries

Blueberries have long been the most commonly recommended source of antioxidant foods. Did you know that apples, dark chocolate, dried plums, red wine, artichokes, pecans, walnuts, strawberries and sweet potatoes are also a great source of antioxidants? You are not alone. 91% of Americans cannot recognize antioxidant rich foods.

Why should you care about antioxidants? Antioxidants are an important factor in reducing our risk of having a heart attack. Vitamins C and E are antioxidants that help protect healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are known to play a role in cancer and heart disease.
